Meaning: An unspecific and somewhat large number of something; more than a few but fewer than a lot.

Example 1:
We have quite a few textbooks that we never use. Shall we donate some of them to a school?

Example 2:
There are quite a few applicants for the position. I'm sure that we'll find someone suitable.
