: every person or thing in a group.

Example 1
:
They spent every last euro of the marketing budget on that worthless television commercial. Now they have nothing left for the spring campaign.

Example 2:
He spoke with every last member of the department individually, one by one. This time there is no excuse. All of them have been thoroughly informed of the changes.
