RIP-3: meaning and examples

Today we continue our study of expressions with the English word RIP.

Today's expression is
: to rip something up

Meaning: to tear something into small pieces.

Example 1
:
After she broke up with him, he ripped up her photograph and threw it into the fire.

Example 2:
She ripped up the contract, instead of signing it, to demonstrate that she did not agree with the newly added clauses about late payments.
