DEAL-4 (REVIEW): meaning and examples

Good morning.

Today we will look at another very common spoken use of deal.

Expression: a big deal or to make a big deal out of something.

Meaning: something that is very important, or to behave as if something is very important.

Example 1:
Speaker 1: Hurry up! We're going to be late!
Speaker 2: I don't think it's a big deal if we arrive 3 minutes late. Relax.

Example 2:
Every time my son comes home with dirty clothes, my wife makes such a big deal out of it. He's only three years old!

If you have any questions about this use of deal, please use the Daily Vitamin Plus! forum section on our website (www.ziggurat.es).  Answering your questions isn't a big deal, so don't be shy.

Remember that tomorrow we will send the Essential Weekly Vitamin

Have a good day!
