VERBS WITH OUT: OUTGROW: meaning and examples

Happy Friday, Daily Vitamin readers! I hope you're having a great week.

It's our last lesson with verbs with OUT and we are looking at two definitions for the verb TO OUTGROW

Definition 1: To grow bigger than something or to become too big for something.

Example 1: My son already outgrew the pants I bought him two months ago!

Definition 2: To lose interest in something as you grow older.

Example 2: I was so sad when my kids outgrew playing with their dolls. I enjoyed seeing them play with them.

Example 3: I outgrew my favourite cartoon when I was about 10 years old.

That's all for today. Thank you for reading!

Have a great weekend and we will see you on Monday for another week of lessons. Next week we'll be looking at expressions with body parts.
