TO FALL INTO SOMEONE'S LAP: meaning and examples

Hello again.  

Today's expression is: to fall/drop into someone's lap

Meaning: when someone has the opportunity to do something that they want to do without having made any effort.

Example 1:
Jack's new job just fell into his lap. He wasn't even looking for work and he found his dream job!

Example 2
:
He is so modest. He says that success fell into his lap, but I don't agree. He worked very hard to get to where he is today.
