STAR WARS VOCABULARY: MENACE

Welcome back, everyone!

This week we are learning Star Wars Vocabulary to celebrate May the 4th (see Tuesday's lesson).

Today's lesson is on the word MENACE, which is used in the title of the 1999 Star Wars movie "Star Wars: The Phantom Menace."

Definition: A person or thing that is likely to cause harm; a threat or danger.

Example 1: Crime has been a menace in this neighbourhood for the last five years. 

Example 2: Air pollution is a menace to public and environmental health.

Example 3: These beetles have been a real menace to the trees in our local forest.
