HEART EXPRESSIONS (4): meaning and examples

Good morning.

Today's expression is: to set your heart on something

Meaning: to want something very much.  

Example 1:
Pablo had his heart set on that new job, but today the company called and said he didn't get it. I hope he finds something soon.

Example 2:
John was hoping to go to the cinema tonight, but his girlfriend, Janet, has her heart set on going to the theatre.
