WITHIN LIMITS: meaning and examples
Good morning everyone.
Today and tomorrow we will look at a couple of expressions that use the word limit. I don't want to limit our time too much, so if necessary we may continue with these limit expressions next week.
Today's expression is: within limits
Meaning: to some extent; with some restrictions. What is considered reasonable.
Example 1:
I'm willing to help you, within limits. My fear is ending up spending three weekends working for you.
Example 2:
If you come to work for us, we will take care of all of your moving expenses, within limits.
