Meaning: we use this expression to refer to something that we think will never happen.
Example 1: What? Jack is going to clean his room? Yeah... right... I don't believe it. Maybe when pigs fly!
Example 2: Our manager thinks our competitor will just hand over their client list. That’ll happen when pigs fly.
