WARN-1: meaning and examples

Today's word is: Warn

Meaning: to tell someone about something that is likely to happen, especially if it is dangerous, so that they can avoid it. (Spanish = advertir o avisar)

Example 1:
I tried to warn him, but he wouldn't listen to me, and now he's in hospital.

Example 2:
Whenever family visit me in Barcelona, I warn them about pickpockets.

Example 3:
He warned Anthony to stay away from his daughter, or he would call the police.
