TO LITTER

It also means: to throw small pieces of paper or other small items of waste materials (basura) on the ground instead of in a rubbish bin. Litter can also be used as a noun to refer to paper or other waste materials. Example 1 Perhaps if people were more civic-minded, they wouldn't litter so much and the city would be a cleaner place to live. Example 2 Fred's desk is littered with paper.
