Today we finish up our Daily Vitamins about expressions with the verb to hang

Today's Expression is: to hang out

It means: to suspend material, for a reason or by accident.

Example 1:
Speaker 1: Mum, what can I do to help?
Speaker 2: You can empty the machine and hang out the washing.

Example 2:
The city residents hung out flags to celebrate their team's victory. 

Example 3:
He's always a bit scruffy (desarreglado) with his shirt hanging out of his trousers!
