Our theme for the week is Phrasal Verbs with the word LOCK. Today we are learning the phrasal verb TO LOCK (SOMETHING) AWAY

Definition: To lock something in a safe place. 

Example 1: My brother locked his guns away, but I still don't think it's safe for my kids to play at his house. 

Example 2: We locked away all of our valuable items before we rented our house. 

This phrasal verb is transitive and optionally separable
