PHRASAL VERB FRIDAY: 'TRY ON': meaning and examples

Hi readers! Happy Friday to you! I hope that your week has gone well. 

Today we are looking at the phrasal verb TO TRY ON

Definition: to put clothes or accessories on to see if they are the right size (and to see if you like them enough to buy them). 

Example 1: I'm going to try these pants on. I like them, but they might be too long. 

Example 2: I didn't try this shirt on before I bought it. But luckily, it fits!

Example 3: He was trying on shoes without socks and the salesperson looked really annoyed. 

This phrasal verb is TRANSITIVE and SEPARABLE
