Today we continue with our look at expressions with the word MESS.

Today's expression is: to mess something up

Meaning 1: to make something dirty or untidy.

Example 1:
David. Please... if you mess up the kitchen, please clean it up.

Meaning 2: to spoil something or do it badly.

Example 2:
If you change the date of the meeting you'll mess up all of my plans and arrangements for the next conference in Berlin.
