I'M WILLING TO... IF YOU CAN...
I'M WILLING TO... IF YOU CAN...: meaning and examples
Happy Wednesday, everyone. Welcome back to the Daily Vitamin. I hope you are having a great day!
Today, once again, we present a phrase that can be used when we want to compromise or be more flexible. Today's phrase can be helpful when you are negotiating or in disagreement with someone, and you want to find some common ground.
Today's phrase is: I'm willing to... if you can...
This phrase can be very useful in negotiation.
Example:
Rick: I don't know if we can pay what you are asking. That price is out of our budget.
Kelly: I'm willing to lower my price if you can increase your order.
Rick: Okay. I'll tell you what... let's increase the order by 150 units.
Kelly: With that increase, I can reduce the price another 12%. Does that sound okay?
Rick: Yes. Thank you. Let's make the order official.
👉 Can you use this phrase in a coherent sentence or dialogue? I encourage you to write a sentence (or a short dialogue) on one of our social media sites (Facebook or Bluesky) and we will give you feedback about your writing ASAP. As always, we appreciate your participation.
Enjoy the rest of your day and we'll be back tomorrow with another lesson.
All the best!
