HALF-2: meaning and examples
Good morning. Today we continue with our series of Daily Vitamins about expressions and compound words with half.
Today's expression is: and a half (informal)
Meaning: bigger, better, more important, etc. than usual.
Example 1:
For Barça fans, the Barcelona-Madrid football match last week was a game and a half.
Example 2:
That was a party and a half. I have never had so much fun with friends and family!
