FULL NAME: meaning and examples

Good morning. Today's expression is: full name It refers to: your whole name, including your first name, your middle name and your surname (last name) Example 1 You must write your full name on the application form in the space provided. If you don't have a middle name, leave that space blank. Example 2 If you are in an English-speaking country, you are often asked to spell your full name letter by letter; this is because English pronunciation can be quite irregular, so we cannot assume (suponer) that a word will be written in the same way it is pronounced. This is true of English names and non-English names. Example 3 A: Can you tell me your full name, please? B: Yes. It's John David Perkins.
