CRAVING: meaning and examples

Good morning, I hope everyone had a good weekend! Today's word is: craving (to have/get a craving for something) It means: to have a strong, almost uncontrollable, desire to do something . It is usually used with words related to food, smoking or other habits. Example 1 A: When you were pregnant, did you have any cravings for strange foods? B: Well, now that I think of it, I remember getting a craving for Indian food when I was in my seventh month of pregnancy. Example 2 I'm trying to quit smoking, especially now that the new tobacco law has come into effect, but I'm still going through the stage where I get strong cravings for a cigarette.
