COOL-1: meaning and examples

This week we are going to look at some common expressions with the English word cool. First, let's look at the basic meanings of this adjective.

Meaning of cool: fairly cold; not hot or warm.

Example 1:
The cool breeze on my face woke me up quickly after my long nap (siesta).

Besides referring to temperature, cool can also mean "calm, not excited, angry or emotional".

Example 2:
During the financial crisis, it's important for managers to remain cool and continue to look for ways to grow.
