BE NOSY: meaning and examples

Good morning. So far this week we have seen two nouns (face; hand) used as verbs (to face; to hand). Today we will see a 'body part' noun (nose) used as an adjective. Today's word is: nosy (adjective) It means: to try and find out private things about other people. Example 1 Mrs. Jones in Apartment 3 is so nosy! She's always listening at the door to hear what people in the hallway (pasillo; escalera) are saying. Example 2 Don't be so nosy. If I could tell you about the situation, I would, but for the moment things are still secret. If the meaning of this word is not clear, please don't hesitate to contact us. Have a nice day!
