AWKWARD (REVISION): meaning and examples

Good morning.

Today we repeat a Vitamin that was originally sent in November of 2003, since it is related to yesterday's Daily Vitamin about the word clumsy.

Today's word is: Awkward (adjective)

It means: something that is difficult to deal with or something that is embarrassing.

Example 1:
I feel a little awkward going to a romantic dinner with him. After all, he's my boss.

Example 2:
Speaker 1: How is the cooking class?
Speaker 2: I like it, but it's an awkward situation because I'm the only man amongst the 25 students!

If you have any questions about this frequently-used adjective, please post them in the Daily Vitamin Plus! forum section on our website (www.ziggurat.es).

Enjoy the rest of your day.
