ALIVE: meaning and examples

Today's word is: Alive (adjective)

Meaning: living; not dead. Full of emotion, excitement, activity, etc.

In English we have the verb live (rhymes with "give"), the adjective live (rhymes with "I've" and means en vivo) as well as the noun life. Alive is another adjective that means not dead.

Example 1:
The boy has been missing for weeks, and many people are beginning to question whether or not he is alive

Example 2:
After finding out that her son had survived the crash, she was alive with happiness.

Example 3:
If Mick Jaggar is still alive in 2043, he will have lived to be one-hundred years old, and will have done hundreds of live concerts during his career.
