WORDY WEDNESDAY: 'OUTLAST': meaning and examples
For today's mid-week lesson, we are looking at the verb TO OUTLAST.
Definition: to live or last longer than something else.
Example 1: The roses outlasted all the other flowers in the bouquet.
Example 2: The more expensive batteries outlasted the cheaper ones.
Example 3: The Company outlasted the competition and made it through the crisis. Now they have virtually no competitors in the market.
