Perhaps you should apply for a job! Meaning 2: a room in a hotel that is available for someone to stay in. Example 2 In August it is very difficult to find hotel vacancies in Barcelona. There is a very common image that has appeared in hundreds of American films: a neon NO VACANCY sign in front of a roadside hotel (or motel).
