USEFUL ACRONYMS (LGBTQ)

Hello and welcome back, everyone! I hope you're having a lovely Tuesday morning. 

This week, we are looking at Useful Acronyms. Yesterday we looked at AKA. Today we are learning the acronym LGBTQ.

Definition: Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer

This acronym is used to represent the many communities listed above. It doesn't list all of these communities, but this is known as the standard acronym to symbolize non-heterosexual people and groups. 

Example 1: He is President of the LGBTQ group at his university. 

Example 2: She became an important member of the LGBTQ community. 

Example 3: A local LGBTQ group is meeting with lawmakers to change some local laws.
