TO RUSH: meaning and examples

Good morning. Today's word is: to rush It means: to hurry or to be in a hurry to do something or get somewhere. Example 1: I had to rush to get to work on time this morning. Example 2: There's no need to rush in order to finish the project. I don't need it for another week. Example 3: The dog always rushes to the door as soon as it hears its master coming home. The word rush is used in the expression rush hour. Rush hour means: the time of day when there is a lot of traffic on the roads because people are going to or leaving work.
