TO LOOK FORWARD TO: meaning and examples

Today's expression is the very common phrasal verb: to look forward to (something)

It means: to be happy or excited about something that will happen in the future.

Example 1:
I know it's only January, but I'm already looking forward to my summer holidays; we're going to Egypt.

Example 2:
Your son is very excited about the birthday party; he's really looking forward to it.
