TO GET ON WITH: meaning and examples

get.
Today's expression is:
to get on with something
It means: to continue doing something or to make progress.
Example 1:
If everybody stops talking at the same time, we can
get on with the meeting.
Example 2:
I'm not
getting on very well
with this maths problem. I've been trying to solve it for an hour, but I really don't understand what I'm doing.
If you want somebody to hurry up, you can tell them to
get on with it!.
