TO FALL-4 (REVISION): meaning and examples

Good morning!

Today we include another use of the verb to fall. So far we've looked at the expressions to fall in love and to fall for something as well as uses of to fall which mean "to become lower in amount." And yesterday we looked at the meaning "to change to another state."

Today's expression with fall is: to fall from power

It means: to lose a position of power.

Example 1
Some think that Spain's current Prime Minister will fall from power in the next elections.

Remember that tomorrow we will send the Essential Weekly Vitamin for Spanish-speaking students of English. Next week we will look at a few more interesting uses of the verb to fall.

Until then, have a great day!
