SHORT EXPRESSIONS-2: meaning and examples

Good morning. I hope you had a good weekend.

Today we continue looking at some expressions that use the word short.

Today's expression is: to have/be on a short fuse

Meaning: to get angry quickly and easily. 

Example 1:
Be careful what you say to the boss. His temper is on a short fuse today.

Example 2:
Dad has such a short fuse. All I did was ask him for five euros and he started to scream at me. I wonder what's wrong with him.
