REAL LIFE: RELATIONSHIPS-2: meaning and examples

Good morning everyone.

Today we continue our look at words and expressions related to relationships, specifically...words we use to describe our friends, colleagues or our partner. This is an example of a typical topic included in our English for Real Life conversation course: http://miniurl.com/94380.

Today's 1st word is: a go-getter

Meaning: someone who is determined to succeed, especially in business.

Example 1:
Despite the poor economy, Derek has managed to increase the company's turnover by almost 50%. What a go-getter!

Today's 2nd word is: amusing

Meaning: funny and enjoyable (a person or a thing).

Example 2:
My husband thinks he is amusing when he makes fun of me in public;  but I don't like it at all! It is very disrespectful.
