OUTLET STORE: meaning and examples

Hello again.  

Today's expression is: outlet

Meaning: a shop or an organization that sells goods made by a particular company or of a particular type. In the US it is especially common to use the term outlet store to refer to shops that sell goods at reduced prices.

Example 1:
Our company has almost 60 retail outlets around the country.

Example 2:
She generally does all her shopping at the outlet stores. Yesterday, for example, she spent almost three hours shopping at the Nike outlet in the San Leandro shopping mall.
