NOTHING-1
NOTHING-1: meaning and examples
Hello everyone. I hope you had a nice weekend.
This week we are going to look at expressions with the English pronoun NOTHING.
The most basic meaning of NOTHING is: not anything; no single thing.
Example 1:
I'm sorry, there is nothing I can do to help you.
We also use NOTHING to refer to "something that is not at all important or interesting."
Example 2:
Rachel: What do you have in your pocket?
Mark: Oh...nothing.
For the next few days, then, we will look at some common expressions with NOTHING.
Until then, I have nothing more to say, except...have a great day!
