MUTUAL FRIENDS
MUTUAL FRIENDS: meaning and examples
Good morning.
Today we continue with more vocabulary from the last CommunicACTION Weekend in Viladrau.
Today's expression is: Mutual friend
Mutual is an adjective that means "shared by two or more people." In this case, we DO NOT use "common friend." A "common friend" is a "typical" friend.
Example 1:
We met at the home of a mutual friend.
Example 2:
After I met my wife, I discovered that we had a mutual interest in music.
Example 3:
I don't like him, and I think the feeling is mutual (= he doesn't like me either).
