LINK-2: meaning and examples

Good morning everyone.

Today we continue our review of uses of and expressions with the word link.

Today's expression is: to link up with somebody or something

Meaning: to join or become joined with somebody or something.

Example 1:
She went to Italy and her boyfriend went to France, and later they will link up in Spain.

Example 2:
The two bands have linked up for a special charity concert. They are hoping to raise $50,000 for cancer research.
