JAR-1: meaning and examples

Good morning again.

Today we continue answering Miquel's question; this time we look at the word jar.

Today's word is: Jar (noun)

Meaning: a round glass container, with a lid, that is used for storing food, such as jam, honey, coffee or mayonnaise.

Example 1:
He has more than four different jars of mayonnaise in his refrigerator. I have no idea why; and half of them are spoiled!

Example 2
It's better not to carry flammable liquids in a jar, since they can break. I recommend keeping chemicals or flammable liquids in a tin.
