ISSUE (1): meaning and examples
Good morning.
Today's word is: issue (noun)
Meaning 1: a topic of discussion; a subject that people discuss or argue about, usually related to politics or society.
Example 1:
He likes to watch programmes that discuss environmental issues.
Meaning 2: One of a regular series of magazines.
Example 2:
Did you see the November 2004 issue of the magazine Emprendedores? It had an article that spoke about Ziggurat English Services.
In Spanish we use the word "número" to talk about magazine issues (meaning 2), and I find that most students aren't familiar with this word in English.
Tomorrow we will look at the verb to issue.
