INJURY vs. INSULT: meaning and examples

Good morning.

Today's word is: Injury

Meaning: harm done to a person's or an animal's body, for example in sport or in an accident.

Example 1:
Eto'o will not play for weeks, since he has suffered another injury.

The verb equivalent of this noun is to injure.

Example 2:
Five people were killed in the accident, and another 3 were injured.

Notice that these words are NOT translated to Spanish as injuria. We translate injuria as insult.

Example 3:
David got in trouble at school when the teacher caught him insulting one of his classmates.
