HOT-4: meaning and examples

Good morning again everyone.

Today we finish our look at expressions that use the word hot.

Today's expression is: not so hot / not too hot

Meaning 1: not very good in quality.

Example 1:
His maths skills aren't too hot.

Meaning 2: not feeling well.

Example 2:
Janet: How are you feeling today?
Jack:
Not so hot, I'm afraid. I still have a fever and a soar throat.
