EXPRESSIONS WITH POINT-1: meaning and examples

Good morning everyone. I hope you had a nice weekend.

This week we have prepared a series of Daily Vitamins about expressions that use the word POINT in them.

Today's expression is: TO POINT A/THE FINGER AT SOMEONE

Meaning: to accuse someone of doing something.

Example 1:
The newspaper article points an accusing finger at the politicians.

Example 2:
Janet: Why hasn't the kitchen been cleaned yet?
Rick: Why are you pointing the finger at me? I wasn't supposed to clean the kitchen today; it was Mike's turn!

Have a great day!
