'ESTAR A GUSTO' IN ENGLISH: meaning and examples

Good morning / afternoon / evening everyone, depending on when you are reading this. Welcome back to the Daily Vitamin.

Some years ago we received the following question from a Daily Vitamin user.

What is the closest English expression to this one in Spanish: "estar a gusto"? I know I could say I feel good, I am happy, I am glad, I am relaxed, but is there any other expression in English?

The possible translations given above are fine. However, a more exact translation would be to feel at ease, to feel comfortable or to feel at home.

Example 1:
While I was in England studying English, I lived with a host family. They were so kind that I immediately felt at ease.

Example 2:
While I was in England studying English, I lived with a host family. They were so kind that I immediately felt comfortable.

Example 3:
While I was in England studying English, I lived with a host family. They were so kind that I immediately felt at home.
