BRING-4: meaning and examples

Good morning.

Today we finish our look at common English expressions that use the verb bring (traer).

Today's expression is: to bring something off (also to pull something off)

Meaning: to succeed in doing something difficult.

Example 1:
It was a difficult task, but they brought it off.

Example 2:
The goalkeeper brought off an excellent save, and his team won the match.
