AS GOOD AS GOLD: meaning and examples

Good morning.

Yesterday we spoke about carats and gold, so today we are going to look at an expression with the word gold in it.

Today's expression is(as) good as gold

Meaning: to behave in a way that other people approve of.  

Example 1:
The children have been as good as gold all day.

Good as gold can also mean very valuable.  

Example 2:
Your help is as good as gold. Thank you very much!
