ALL (3): meaning and examples

Good morning, Today we will continue with the different uses of all in English. USE 3: As a pronoun. Example 1 All was quiet in the street outside. USE 4: Followed by OF Example 2 All of the people in the bar are smoking; it's impossible to breathe. Remember that on Monday we said that all the people is usually everybody. If we wish to use an expression with all, we would most likely use ALL OF, like example 2. We could also change example 2 to the following: Example 2 (bis) Everybody in the bar is smoking; it's impossible to breathe. USE 5: as an adverb. Example 3 She felt all alone in the unknown city. She missed her family. Example 4 I forgot all about our anniversary. I feel so stupid! I'm sorry.
