Happy Friday, Daily Vitamin readers! I hope you're having a wonderful week.

Are you ready for our last post about Idioms with "Win?" Today's lesson is about the expression TO WIN (SOMETHING) HANDS DOWN.

Definition: To be the clear winner.

Example 1: I think Charlie wins the costume contest, hands down. His costume is great!

We can also use this expression without the word "win."

Example 3: You are, hands down, the best employee we have.

Example 4: This is, hands down, the most fun vacation I've ever had.

We hope you've enjoyed these two weeks of lessons inspired by the winter Olympics! Next week we will have 5 participation-based lessons for the BULATS Reading exam. We look forward to your participation!

Have a great weekend!
