03 / 05 / 2019

Happy Friday, everyone!

Today is the last day of our week of homonyms. We are ending with the word TIRE.

Definition 1: To become tired.

Example 1: When children get older, they tire of their toys.

Example 2: I will never tire of listening to my favourite song.

Definition 2: The rubber part of a wheel of a car, bike, or other vehicle (US English).

Example 3: My right tire needs more air.

NOTE: In the UK, this word for the second definition is spelled with a "Y" (TYRE).

That is all for this week. We hope you enjoyed learning these homonyms.

Have a great weekend and we will see you on Monday for more lessons.
