TENSE TUESDAY: 'ADJECTIVE WITH' COMBINATIONS: meaning and examples

Hello, everyone! Welcome to Tense Tuesday.

For the next few weeks, we are looking at ADJECTIVE PREPOSITION combinations. This is something that many students struggle with, so we are looking at a few combinations to help familiarize you with them.

Today we are focusing on ADJECTIVE WITH combinations. Here are a few:

angry WITH

Example 1: My boss was angry with me because I was late. 

content WITH

Example 2: They seem very content with their new life in Valencia. 

disappointed WITH

Example 3: I was disappointed with the service at the restaurant last night. 

familiar WITH  

Example 4: Are you familiar with the Costa Brava? I need some travel recommendations.
