Good morning and welcome back, everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.
This week is the end of January and the beginning of February; many consider February the month of love in the Anglo world. To celebrate, we are looking at Expressions with the word LOVE. We begin with the phrase NO LOVE LOST.
Definition: An expression to explain the feeling between two people who strongly dislike each other.
Example 1: My co-worker didn't invite me to his wedding, but I'm not surprised. There's no love lost between us.
Example 2: Everyone knows that there's no love lost between my neighbours. It makes it difficult to have our annual neighbourhood meeting.
Example 3: For the party, let's put Sarah on this end of the table and Michael on the other end. There has been no love lost between them since Michael dated Sarah's sister.
That's all for today. Thank you for reading!
